Transpersonal Counselling
My approach to working with my students, patients and counselling clients
The 4 modalities I practise are all related and follow a pathway in my own life’s journey. The Alexander Technique taught me to become more aware of physical and psychological habit patterns within myself and in other people. Wanting to explore this in greater depth I started my 2-year training in Transpersonal Counselling. A few years later I had some Painless Spinal Touch Therapy treatments and was so impressed that I decided to train to become a therapist. As time went on I wanted to do more exercise myself, and found that Pilates seemed the only system which worked with the integrity of the body and mind connection which underpins the Alexander Technique.
I endeavour to work in a way which enables my students, patients and clients to extend and expand their own boundaries and self-imposed limits, to become more mindful and realise how interesting and fascinating life can be. I also learn an enormous amount from everyone I work with.
